In a surprising crossover event that breaks traditional expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal statement, "An unusual meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome transformations echo through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine group.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a striking scene showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Extra Content
Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an exclusive katana alongside several objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
